    New to SWG? Here's a little video series I'm making to help!

    Hello there!

    I'm working on a video series to help new players learn the game because I couldn't really find any others that seemed really noobie friendly. I'm learning how to record, stream, and edit so I figured this would be a fun way to get some practice in.

    I know my mic sucks in the first 2 videos, I've already replaced it for the third and all videos moving forward. Sorry in advance D:

    Starting Out & Melee Combat (Part 1)
    In my first video, we tackle the default UI, how to change it, and how to get started as a Brawler and level ourselves really quickly with the higher XP rate of Bloodfin. I explain a lot of the game as I go along.

    Melee Combat (Part 2)
    In my second video, I take what we learned from the first video about being a Brawler and becoming a Teras Kasi Artist because of how beginner-friendly it is, and show how to start making some good credits. Then, using those credits, finding a much faster vehicle than the starting BARC Speeder as well as finding a better weapon.

    Melee Combat (Part 3)
    In my third and final TKA video, I'll explain a little bit about factions, how to get around on other planets, Improved Job Markets for making tons of credits with little effort, and a few macros to help with farming as well.

    Center-of-Being Macro (self-buff to reduce chance of being hit)
    /center;
    /pause 31; \\This number should be your total Unarmed Center-of-Being Modifier +1 to compensate for lag
    /macro (MACRO NAME);
    Ranged Combat
    I talk about Marksman, Ranged Combat, and all the stats/modifiers that go along with it while using Rifles as the focus.

    Artisan - Surveying and Sampling
    If you're struggling with understanding how Artisan works, I go over the basics of finding and acquiring resources, and throw some tricks at you to help with AFK farming resources. We also set up the ability to Copy, Cut, and Paste text in the game between e-mails and the built in /notepad.

    AFK Sample Macro (to ignore Chance-Card dialogue boxes)

    Artisan - Crafting and Experimentation
    In this video, we learn how to craft. We go over Resources Stats and why they're important, and use that to segway into Experimentation to make our crafting items better.

    Automated Crafting Macro

    Just to give an update, the Artisan video series is coming along a bit slower than I would hope. Got into a car wreck and also worked 9 days straight so I haven't had a lot of time or patience.

    It's a bit difficult to map out what order to show things based on importance vs when it's the appropriate time to show them. For example, the first video is about Surveying/Sampling and I need to incorporate all the difference factors that play into finding different resources, where and when to look, using galaxyharvester.net to track whats currently available, macros, resource stats, etc. etc., and also segwaying into the next video.
    Videos are uploaded!

    I'm trying my best to upgrade the visual and audio quality, as well as the quick editing each video takes. It's also very important to me that I slow down and explain things without rambling incoherently, but even that is difficult. I would much prefer running off of notes instead of a script to keep things fluid and engaging, and I really want this series to be a much higher quality, more professional tutorial so thats basically why it's taking a bit longer.

    Thanks to you guys that watched my combat series. I am taking the feedback and criticism from my friends to try to improve the series, but I could always use more dudes telling me what they think, so please feel free to reply to this post with your thoughts or on the youtube video page itself.

    Cheers!
